The PVM210 irradiance meter provides the solar/photovoltaic engineer with a compact, pocket-sized instrument that is easy to use. Indeed, single-handed operation is possible because the solar detector and meter are housed in one unit, which makes it ideal when using the instrument on a sloping roof or at the top of a ladder.
With the easy-to-read display and measurement hold feature, the meter gives fast, accurate readings of solar power so you can choose the inital optimum position for the photovoltaic panel.
Furthermore, the meter can provide vital measurements for the calculation of short-circuit currents in conjunction with a suitable ammeter to verify the stated short-circuit current provided by the manufacturer of the panel. In addition to W/m² measurements, a selectable BTU (British Thermal Unit) measurement range is also featured. To prolong battery life, the PVM210 also has an auto power off function and, on the rear of the meter, there is a universal camera thread that allows mounting for precise readings if required. A protective pouch is included with each instrument.

Safety warnings should be read and undertstood before instrument is used.
n Do not to cover or shield the solar detector situated on the top of the instrument while the unit is in use.
n Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the meter.
n Ensure the unit is free from moisture, grease and dust; clean unit with soft dry cloth only.
n Do not use if there is any damage to the PVM210.
n When using the camera mount do not over tightened thread.
n The battery cover must be in place whilst conducting tests.
n Avoid prolonged exposure of the meter to direct strong sunlight.
n Remove batteries when unit is not being used for a period of time.
n Store instrument in protective holster when not in use.
