The Gen2+ image intensifier is an advanced vacuum photoelectric device that transforms low-light images into clear, visible signals, essential for night vision, surveillance, medical imaging, and scientific research. It operates by converting incoming photons into electrons via a photocathode, amplifying them through a microchannel plate (MCP), and converting the multiplied electrons back into visible light using a phosphor screen. Compared to earlier models, it features upgraded photocathode materials and optimized MCPs, delivering enhanced sensitivity, lower noise, and longer durability.
Encased in a rugged, light-tight housing, the system includes a high-voltage power supply to ensure stable electron acceleration while minimizing power consumption.
